A cover which profiles the Givenchy outfit which I ranked number one on my latest Paris fashion week selection. And a magazine which contains my initials! Although I appreciate the support, I take no ownership of the most recent edition of Magazine for Fashion. That should not dissuade you from going through it, though.

The question of what to wear for the 5th anniversary of my 20th birthday was an opportunity for me to delve into the most ignored depths of my closet. There, sleeping in silk paper sheets, were a pair of patent leather boots from Dior Homme, antiques from the era of Hedi Slimane, back when my age still began with the number 1.
La question de la tenue de la cinquième célébration de mon vingtième anniversaire s’est posée avec une acuité telle que ce fut pour moi l’occasion de replonger dans les méandres les plus reculés de mon dressing. Là dormait dans sa boite, drapée de papier de soie, une paire de boots Dior Homme en cuir vernis, remontant à l’antique ère Slimane et aux temps reculés où mon âge commençait encore par le chiffre 1…

Top 5 fall-winter 2012/13 looks from Paris
I’ve given you one week to digest – think of me as your Fashion Week Pepto Bismol. Not to compare fine fashion to food-induced heartburn, think of it rather as a feast of fine cuisine. Paris did not break the bank this year, with forty shows and approximately one thousand outfits up for scrutiny.
Ricardo Tisci, left with an insatiable appetite even after draping Madonna in Givenchy haute couture for her American SuperBowl half-time performance, managed to deliver a collection worthy of the top spot in the fall/winter 2012-13 rankings. Also noteworthy is that his man-skirt will be the first ever featured on this blog. Bravo.
This new heir to the throne of the top spot emphasizes the difference in the rankings from last year: although met with positive reviews last June, the Smalto show was unfortunately cancelled and its black colour was relegated to the last rows of the Dior Homme show. But above all, the most puzzling feat of this years fashion week is the disappearance of the lovely Ann Demeulemeester, without any look featured after a peak of 4 last year. The queen of my previous lists has finally fallen. Acne (as always), Maison Martin Margiela, Mugler and Lanvin, in this order, have usurped her throne.
More stunned than dazzled, my head has turned a lot this week. But fortunately it’s still standing on my shoulders.
Non qu’elle soit l’occasion d’excès alimentaires – ce serait même plutôt l’inverse, quelques jours de répit ne sont jamais superflus après l’indigestion d’une semaine de la mode. Paris n’échappe pas à la règle cette saison, avec une quarantaine de défilés et près d’un millier de tenues à scruter le temps d’un passage chronométré.
Ricardo Tisci, non content d’avoir paré Madonna de Givenchy haute couture lors la mi-temps du Super Bowl, s’offre le luxe de raffler la première place du classement et d’y faire figurer la première jupe pour homme jamais sélectionnée dans l’histoire du blog.
Force est ainsi de constater que tous les repères se perdent : annulé le défilé Smalto pourtant salué dans ma sélection de juin dernier, dehors le noir chez Dior. Mais par dessus tout, mystère que la disparition d’Ann Demeulemeester de ma cabine idéale, ainsi réduite à 5 looks contre 12 l’an passé. La reine incontestée des deux saisons précédentes est finalement tombée. Acné – constant, Maison Martin Margiela, Mugler et Lanvin, dans l’ordre, auront eu sa tête.
Etourdie plus qu’éblouie, la mienne a beaucoup tourné cette semaine ; mais touchée n’est pas coupée.

The publication may be on hiatus, however the models were certainly out in full force to celebrate the opening of Paris men’s fashion week during the bash Guapo Magazine hosted on Friday at Club 1979.
The following night at Social Club, it was Dior Homme and their artistic director Kris Van Assche’s turn to play host to the glitterati who despite three days of shows were in a high-fying state of mind…
La publication a beau être en sommeil, pas les mannequins, venus nombreux et pas des moindres fêter l’ouverture de la semaine parisienne de la mode masculine lors de la soirée Guapo Magazine donnée ce vendredi au Club 1979.
Le couvert est remis dès le lendemain soir au Social Club, où Dior Homme et son directeur artistique Kris Van Assche recevaient également tout ce beau monde, ma foi, après trois jours de défilés, dans un tout aussi un bel état…
